This coin purse is part of a long-term project started in 2004: a boutique store to provide personalized service for people interested in preserving their experiences and intimate stories through unique objects made using part of the client's bodily waste. This project combines the fluid portions with other materials, such as gold, silver, and resin, to make them functional, durable, and reliable. Each request is fulfilled using various craft techniques, such as weaving, embroidery, clay modeling, and goldsmithing, depending on the design. Each object achieves another value beyond its decorative function; once finished, it becomes something special that preserves unforgettable moments for the owner. Waste is transformed into the ideal of beauty for each person, for their own exclusive consumption.
Installation: The coin purse is mounted inside an acrylic box (10 ¼ x 5 ½ in), on top of a piece of wood. The acrylic box goes on top of a wooden board mounted in the air, visually aligned to the acrylic box by the four corners as shown in the image. The wall on this occasion will not have this texture, this image is only for reference to install the acrylic box and the position of the coin purse on it.
