Diego Torres was born in Habana, Cuba in 1970, graduated from the Academy of Fine Art San Alejandro in 1996. Torres approaches landscapes in a different way; he prefers to capture and synthesize the essential details, those that help him piece together a story. It is also very typical of the artist to include an anachronistic element in his works. In this case, there is a caution yellow ribbon that shows in the left corner of the landscape and stops for no reason. This piece was bought directly to the artist in Havana by Robert Borlenghi, the owner of this gallery. It is signed and dated on lower right recto and it's in good condition
