Jerome Polycarpe

Born Port-au-Prince, Haiti

Prior to taking up painting he was a professor of Mathematics from 1971 to 1973. His first two paintings were selected by Jean Marie Drot and Andre Malraux for two exhibitions in Paris and Auxerre. Polycarpe is today famous for his jungle scenes in vibrant colors.

He appears in Max Fourny’s two books, “La Fete et les Naifs” and “Le Reve et les Naifs”.
