Project Room: El Puente (The Bridge)

November 10, 2012 – January 5, 2013

In the project room we will exhibit El Puente (The Bridge), a video installation. In the projection we can see views of different cities from around the world. This piece is about migration as a phenomenon of the contemporary world. The bridge is an element that has been extensively used as a symbol of ‘crossing’ from a place to another, therefore an excellent image to represent the physical act of going places.

Abel Barroso was born in Pinar del Rio and currently lives and works in Havana, Cuba. He graduated from the Instituto Superior de Arte (ISA) (Higher Institute of Art) in Havana, Cuba.
