Edouard Duval-Carrié: Solo Exhibition

April 24– June 21, 2014

The show is a comprehensive survey of works by Edouard Duval-Carrié, including the colorful older pieces for which he is well-known and a selection of new works. His work is a compendium of universal references to art history and literature, but also of regional elements from his country, Haiti, such as religion and folklore. His commentaries on political and social issues emerge from the brilliant images in which legends and daily life are entwined.
